Introduces network concepts and methods for exploring social and organizational connectivity for work, socializing, and knowledge production. Examines impact of social media on connections that span space and place; peer production on authority structures; ubiquitous mobile connectivity on daily life.

Design of interactive information systems informed by human capabilities and behavior. Application of contemporary information design principles and practices to the conceptualization, creation, and testing of real-world prototypes of information objects and applications. INFO_V 441 (3) Media Design for Contemporary Childhood
Cultural narratives, values, and practices promoted by media technologies designed for children/youth and the tensions they create.
