Graduate Studies: Last day for final doctoral oral examinations in time for August 31 program end date.

Last day for sponsored students to submit application to have fees billed to a sponsoring organization. Students who do not submit their applications by the deadline will be required to pay the first instalment of Winter Session tuition fees by September 6 to avoid financial hold procedure (see Fees).

Mechanical Engineering: Last day for students to complete their registration for 2026/27 Winter Session Term 1 and Term 2 MECH_V courses. After this date, courses with low enrolment may be cancelled and it may not be possible to accommodate registration requests.

Last day for students who hold major external graduate or undergraduate fellowships to apply for Winter Session fee deferments.

Online applications for the Winter General Bursary become available on Workday and are available until September 15.

Full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) and Master of Management (MM) Programs: First day of mandatory Opening Week (August 25 to August 28 inclusive). Please refer to program schedule for exact times and schedule.

Master of Management (MM Dual Degree) Program: Summer Period 2 Exams (August 25 to August 30 inclusive).

Last day for graduation applications to be submitted to Enrolment Services by all graduate and undergraduate students expecting to graduate in November. Application is made through Workday and the Convocation Management System.

Graduate Studies: GradStart Orientation Welcome Event for all new domestic and international graduate students.

Graduate Studies: Last day for final master's theses and doctoral dissertations to be accepted by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies for August 31 program end date. Must be approved and accepted by 4 pm. Students who meet this deadline will not be assessed tuition and student fees for 2025/26 Winter Session Term 1.

Graduate Studies: Last day for students to complete all program requirements (including major papers) for non-thesis master's degrees for August 31 program end date. Students who meet this deadline will not be assessed tuition and student fees for 2025/26 Winter Session Term 1.

2025/26 Academic Year ends.

Graduate Studies: Last day for graduate students employed as Teaching and Research Assistants to apply for deferral of Winter Session tuition fees.
