UBC Academic Explorations offers engaging, university-caliber courses with an opportunity to explore a wide range of topics in the arts, humanities, history, literature, music, science, politics and more. Taught by UBC faculty and affiliated instructors in a welcoming environment, each course is designed to inspire and inform and appeal to your love of learning.
These non-credit courses offered online in the fall and winter and in person in the summer at the UBC Vancouver campus. Participate in stimulating discussions, discover new ideas and perspectives, and meet others who value lifelong learning.
Political science
The Department of Political Science at UBC, in collaboration with UBC Extended Learning, is developing a new professional micro-certificate focused on the practice of attitudinal survey research, also known as opinion polling. The program will be targeted at skill acquisition, and students will receive a practical, experiential education about every aspect of the survey research process.
